The green relief of Stinson Parkway has long been taken for granted. It is a scenic landmark and one of Northeast’s finest treasures. Many citizens have expressed a personal desire to help maintain and improve the green space on Stinson – for today and for generations to come.

The Conservancy works in cooperation with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Conservancy projects have included renovation of the gateway garden at Stinson and New Brighton Boulevard, two azalea gardens on the 2200 and 2700 blocks, and a rose bed on the 2500 block. Recently added to the Parkway were a magnolia and a redbud tree. Plans for the future include enhancement of the azalea gardens with low maintenance, drought tolerant native perennials that will provide successive blooming from spring to fall.
